Monisha is a Partner with Parinam Law Associates and is a part of the firm’s commercial disputes team. Prior to joining Parinam Law Associates, she has worked with law firms like Juris Corp, ALMT Legal and Crawford Bayley & Co. During her career with ALMT Legal and whilst pursuing her LL.M. in the U.K, she had also trained at ALMT Legal’s London office. She has more than ten years of experience in the field of commercial litigation.

Monisha has successfully handled several contentious litigation relating to contractual disputes, property disputes, intellectual property rights, writ petitions, arbitrations, competition laws, matters under the Companies Act, matters under the national green tribunal act. She has conducted and assisted in proceedings before various courts and tribunals including the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, High Court of Bombay, New Delhi, Madras, National Company Law Tribunal, National Green Tribunal and Competition Commission of India.

She has advised and represented several celebrities, authors, media and production houses in litigation concerning intellectual property disputes before various Courts in India. Some of the intellectual property disputes handled by her include advising and representing a German company with respect to a copyright claim against several software developers in India who were infringing the licenses owned by the German company. Advising and representing a multi-national pharmaceutical company in a trademark and passing off dispute in India. Presently, she is also advising and representing one of India’s largest pharmaceutical company in defending a massive claim for damages before the London Court of International Arbitration.

Monisha has been regularly advising and representing many international as well as domestic clients in arbitration proceedings and has assisted them in execution of arbitral awards in India. She has wide array of experience in drafting pleadings including plaints, company petitions, writ petitions, notice of motion, chamber summons, affidavit in reply, rejoinder, settlement terms, claims, complaints and filing the above before major forums in India.
