Mallika Noorani

Mallika Noorani has completed her degree in Law from the Government Law College. She also has dual degrees in Business Administration and French from the University of Richmond, USA. Mallika has also studied at the ESSEC Business School in France. Prior to entering the legal profession Mallika worked in the banking industry with Standard Chartered Bank, Mumbai.

Her main areas of practice include Corporate & Commercial laws, Media and Entertainment law, Labour and Employment law, and Intellectual Property & Information Technology law. She has routinely assisted clients in conducting due diligences and transaction documentation for acquisition of companies and businesses. Mallika has also assisted local and international clients on creation of joint ventures and technology collaborations.

Mallika has developed the firm’s media and entertainment practice and in addition to working on traditional film deals, has created a niche practice relating to digital media platforms. Mallika has hand held one of the largest VOD platforms in India through their set-up, content acquisition and launch. She routinely works with producers commissioned by VOD players to develop and produce content. Mallika represents various leading artists in their film, television and endorsement deals.

Mallika serves on POSH internal complaints committees (ICC) of various large multi-national companies. She has also assisted several local and international clients on drafting employment contracts, policies and has also advised them on various aspects of Indian labour laws e.g. social security, payment of wages, regulation of trade unions, closure/ transfer of undertakings, retrenchment of workers etc.

• Bachelor of Arts in French – University of Richmond, VA
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and International Business) – University of Richmond, VA
