Background:
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in light of the outbreak of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) has issued an advisory on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. The advisory urges the corporate sector to put in place precautionary measures such as work from home policies, etc. to comply with the strategic policy decision of social distancing in India
Compliance:
In order to check the readiness of the corporate sector to deal with the COVID-19 threat, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has sought compliance reports to be filed by all companies and LLPs by way of a web-from, namely, Company Affirmation of Readiness towards Covid-19 (CAR).
The said web-form CAR shall inter alia, require the following details, to be filled by the companies/LLPs:
(i) Name of the Company:
(ii) CIN;
(iii) COVID-19 compliance declaration;
(iv) DIN/PAN/Membership No. of the authorised signatory;
(v) Mobile Number; and
(vi) OTP received.
Companies/ LLPs are required to file the said web-form CAR, through an authorized signatory, on 23rd March 2020.
