Parinam represented an upcoming private port operator on the interplay of the provisions of the Code and of the Admiralty Act and assisted in the arrest of vessels towards recovery of its outstanding dues before various courts in India. This was also one of the first matters before the Bombay High Court wherein an order was passed in an application for summary judgment under the Commercial Courts Act.
